Autumn is here with Winter pending, as the dark draws in earlier, the exciting bonfire season commences. Sussex bonfire nights bring a heap of joy and magic in the colder months.
Sussex has a rich history of bonfire societies, with Lewes being the most famous and renowned display nationally and internationally.
Although Lewes is the epitome of bonfire season in Sussex, due to crowd control and ceremony preservation, it can be difficult to attend Lewes bonfire due to road closures and trains stopping from certain times.
However, there are many other bonfire celebrations to look forward to across the County that you can pencil into your diary. So let’s wrap up warm, bring your flasks of hot chocolate and prepare to be dazzled.
